If you just need to test a new property expression or try a new workflow, working with a big sluggish Archicad Project is annoying. For me, even the stock Archicad Templates feel too slow when I have to restart Archicad a lot during Add-On development.
So I’ve created templates where I deleted everything I could find: Attributes, Properties, Classifications, Views, Transfer Settings, Graphic Overrides, Rendering Settings and much more! I got the template down to just over 2.5MB. No more long loading times 😉
This template started as a bit of a gimmick, but now I use it daily. You might also find it helpful as a minimal environment for GDL-Development or as a starting point for your own template if you want to be sure to start at the absolute minimum.
